Membership

As of right now, there are no annual dues to play with us. The only cost is helping to pay for facility rentals. Based on the average number of players we get every week, and the facility rental costs, it appears that $10 per person per week is about the right price. Should our costs for facility rentals increase, our weekly cost will also increase.

If a facility requires us to provide our own liability insurance, we will create a club through AAU so that we can have a liability insurance policy. The cost is approximately $70/yr, and it will be split up amongst the players. It is also strongly recommended that individual players also purchase their own personal membership to AAU so that they are covered by this liability insurance. Click here for additional information about individual membership. Note: You will be signing up as an inline hockey player.

You also have the option to pay $100 at a time. This allows us to have a "safe bubble" of cash so that we can pay any advanced deposits for facility rentals. This option is for players who (1) play often and (2) want to see floorball succeed in Colorado. People who go with this option will see their money being used last when paying for facility rentals. People who pay the "drop-in" rate of $10 per week will have their money used first. Should the amount of drop-in fees collected exceed the weekly facility rental cost, the leftover amount will be carried-over to the following week.

Example

10 people pay $100 (let's call them "contributors")

Facility rental costs $100 per week

First week: the only people who show up and play are the 10 contributors. They have all contributed equally to this week's rental ($10/person); therefore, they each have $90 remaining.

Second week: five drop-in's show up and pay $10 each ($50 total). That $50 is applied to the facility rental first, so remaining $50 will be paid by the contributors ($5/person); therefore, they will each have $85 remaining.

Third week: eleven drop-in's show up and pay $10 each ($110 total). That pays for the week's rental, plus we will have $10 extra towards next week's rental. None of the contributors' money was used, so they still have $85 remaining.

Fourth week: the only people who show up and play are the 10 contributors. The extra $10 from last week is applied first, therefore the remaining $90 will be paid by the contributors ($9/person). Therefore, they will each have $76 remaining.

Once we fall below a four-week cushion of rental fees, we will be asking for people willing to contribute $100 again.
